The AllaprimA collections shows an unique view on the artistic development of children by series of different children.
To give every child good based art education no extra time, no extra budget, no extra teachers is needed, only professional knowledge about the special elements of
this part of education.
It is the intention of art centre Saksala ArtRadius in cooperation with the Dutch AllaprimA Foundation, the Etelä-Savon Taidetoimikunta and
Mikkeli education department to develop a permanent art education centre in the AllaprimA MuseuM.
In 2005 the first activities have started and now there is an ongoing presentation of the works from children of all ages.
The intensive way of working and the fundamental thoughts about art and art education are available for all interested
persons and groups.

Painting, drawing and printing are different parts of the art education program
and with the many works of children
participants and visitors can see the artistic level of children.

During the exhibition a
special program
for (art) teachers is offered and participants can have lectures,
practical workshops and can also start to develop the own art program.
In summer 2007 Etelä-Savon Taidetoimikunta is organizing an
international art education symposium in week 28.
