series of child
art
|
The AllaprimA Foundation has an archive with about 10 000 paintings,
drawings, prints and clay works of children in the age between 2-18 years
and from students of the teacher's training college in Rotterdam (NL). The
Foundation has also archived a part of the work which is produced during the
art projects WHO IS SITTING NEXT TO ME, CHILDREN'S FOREST, NATURALLY
ART and THIS IS OUR NATURE in Haukivuori and Mikkeli in 2006, 2007/8 and
2010/11.
This collection is
interesting for (art) teachers, artists, educators and scientists. The
series with the developments of many different children are giving a
unexpected view on the way the visual development of children can be.
Persons who are interested in doing research in the field of the artistic
development of children will have the opportunity to use parts of the
collection for their scientist work.
In cooperation with Etelä-Savon Taidetoimikunta and Mikkelin Kaupunki the
art centre is building programs for art education for primary and secondary
schools. Different schools in the region of Mikkeli are taking part in this
process.
